Penco Products Inc. Unveils New National QuickShip Program

Oaks, PA - Penco Products, Inc., one of the largest producers of steel lockers and shelving in the U.S., today introduced a new warehouse program designed to support “immediate need” delivery for some of the most requested selections from their popular Vanguard® locker and Clipper® industrial shelving lines.

With a start date of February 1 st in Salt Lake City, the first of several new factory-owned and operated warehouse locations will launch Penco’s QuickShip program, servicing 11 western states with 72 hour processing of orders for a variety of industrial shelving and steel locker sizes. In another value-added move, the warehouse locations will also supply a number of related accessories, and guarantee shipment of assembled locker requirements in 5 days or less. Having manufacturing locations on both sides of the country meant reaching Penco customers was never a problem, but with Penco's revamped QuickShip program and their warehouse capacity, they can reach both coasts and points in-between faster and more efficiently than ever.

Daniel Peterson, Senior Product Manager, credited the program’s structure to the people who would benefit most from an improved program. “We gave our distributors and district sales managers a voice to tell us what they needed most from a warehouse stocking program, and we listened. The program’s structure is defined primarily by what our marketplace wants us to be. We then built on it from there.”

“We have always offered some form of short turnaround program, but our QuickShip is leaner and meaner than ever, with a market-tailored inventory and increased stock levels to make us even more responsive and provide outstanding service to our customers,” said Peterson.

Dedicated warehouse space in Utah is only the first of several locations planned to open in 2007. A central Pennsylvania location will begin shipping QuickShip orders by March 1 st with a third, located in Texas following later in the year.
