And while solid phenolic lockers are very durable, they are only needed when you are going to have them in a place of high acidity or have water constantly running over them. And they’re very expensive.

Steel lockers rust, especially when exposed to high-humidity environments (though there are specialty treatments available to protect such lockers). While we don't suggest pouring a bucket of water on laminate lockers, Legacy has never had a problem with de-lamination (laminate or edgebanding peeling away from the locker due to moisture).

Additionally, wooden and laminate lockers are priced competitively with metal lockers when you consider that Legacy lockers come individually assembled and wrapped. The installation process is minimal. Legacy also uses a fully-concealed European Hinge (by Salice) which is more durable and has more appeal than the standard 5 knuckle hinges you will find on most metal lockers.
